Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions awarded the group’s annual sustainability award
Building circularity into product development is challenging, but it’s something manufacturers should be doing in the interests of our planet. Leading the way for sustainable innovation, the team in Svedala, represented by Jörgen Petersson and Anders Åkesson of Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions (SRP) developed a circularity program for the manufacturing of premium rock crushing chambers. In recognition of this project, Petersson and Åkesson have been presented with Sandvik Group’s sustainability award for 2021.
At one of the world’s most sustainable manganese foundries, in Svedala, Sweden, SRP has developed a program to reuse materials from old cone crushers to manufacture crusher chambers made from over 90 per cent recycled steel. Combined with further investment into metal chip internal recycling from other operations at the site, and a buy-back scheme, the

Bombardier, which last year paved new ground when its Global 7500 became the first business jet to achieve an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) through the International EPD System, is planning to pursue similar declarations on all of its new aircraft and upgrades moving forward, the company said.
Third-party verified to ISO standards, the EPD discloses detailed environmental information about the Global 7500’s lifecycle, such as CO
2 emissions, noise, water consumption, and other key environmental impact indicators. The International EPD System has built a library of published EPDs for products from more than 30 countries to foster transparency about environmental lifecycles. But the Global 7500 was the very first from the business jet community.

, 2021: VistaJet commits to carbon neutrality by 2025 and spearheads the call for change working with, and pushing, the industry to go further than the current goal of a 50% reduction of emissions by 2050 set by civil aviation industry bodies, IATA and the global business aviation community.
Aviation plays a crucial role in driving the global economy as well as connecting people and countries around the world. While it is impossible to imagine a world without air mobility, and as travel continues to be a necessity for many companies particularly to redevelop their businesses post-pandemic we must make every effort to simultaneously protect our environment.

ECOPact, a low carbon concrete product range, has been unveiled this week by Holcim. The product is able to reduce the embodied carbon of buildings, infrastructure and homes.
With 20% of Australia’s annual greenhouse gas emissions derived from the construction industry, sourcing sustainable building materials has become increasingly important. ECOPact is able to reduce embodied carbon by 30-60 percent, compared to the Australian National Life Cycle Inventory Database basecase.
The ECOPact range includes the option to achieve carbon neutrality. ECOPactZERO uses accredited carbon offsets through Climate Active to reduce embodied carbon by 100%. Other products in the range are able to also significantly reduce embodied carbon emissions of constructions.
Bortolomiol Earns First EPD Environmental Certification in the Wine Industry
The Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), is the only internationally recognized certification of environmental quality (ISO 14025). Bortolomiol is the first wine producer to obtain it. April 30, 2021
The amount of greenhouse gases emitted directly and indirectly into the atmosphere during all production processes is one of the indicators factored into the Environmental Product Declaration. The carbon footprint for each 750ml bottle of Bortolomiol IUS Naturae was calculated to be 1.54 kg CO2eq, 22 percent less than international averages.
On April 14th, 2021, the Stockholm institution coordinating the International EPD System published the first Environmental Product Declaration to ever be given in the wine industry; receiver is IUS Naturae, Prosecco Superiore DOCG Brut Millesimato produced from the grapes coming from Parco della Filandetta, heart of the organic district of th
