Clopyralid can only be used in New Zealand by qualified ‘approved handlers’. Although it breaks down quickly on lawns and turf, it doesn’t break down through composting and can impact on some plants, such as tomatoes and potatoes, at very low concentrations.

According to VicEmergency, residents in metropolitan Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula may see or smell smoke due to a number of planned burns taking place across Victoria. The health message was issued yesterday at 12.24pm, reassuring people there was no immediate threat to the community and no action required. The permits allow Waste Management to import numerous chemical and other forms of dangerous waste, including used lead-acid batteries, crushed fluorescent tubes, vapour sodium lamps, oils and oil sludges, alloys of mercury, solvents, and waste pesticides and herbicides, which are off-specification, outdated or unfit for their original intended use.
