10shares ECTAA, the European Travel Agent and Tour Operator Association, recently referred to Greece as an example of a country that restored consumer confidence and opened tourism up for business in the midst of the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. In a review of the year, referring to the losses of travel in 2020 due to the pandemic, ECTAA highlighted that coordination and joint initiatives aimed at supporting the restart of travel and tourism are essential. ECTAA added that since June, Greek authorities and travel organisations have been communicating in a clear way with the industry and consumers and implementing strict health and safety protocols.
