A new 2021 calendar for the British Touring Car Championship OULTON Park s staging of the 2021 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship has slotted into a new schedule that features a delayed start. Series organiser, TOCA, has issued a revised calendar in order to maximise the opportunity for spectators and guests to attend the events. As a result, the start of the campaign has been shifted back by five weeks. The new schedule will now start at Thruxton on May 8/9, kicking off the full 10-event, 30-race season. Snetterton follows the season opener, before Brands Hatch Indy hosts the third event of the calendar, while late July and August will see the series head north to Oulton Park and Knockhill before Thruxton s second event of the year.
Motorbase acquired by Shaun Hollamby, Pete Osborne

Motorbase Performance will race under new ownership in the 2021 British Touring Car Championship after being acquired by AmD Tuning boss Shaun Hollamby and Pete Osborne, father of current racer Sam.
The pair will take over the Ford outfit from long-time team principal David Bartrum, who has taken the decision to step aside from the team he founded back in 2004. Hollamby will take on the role of team principal, with Osborne as managing director.
Under Bartrum’s stewardship, Motorbase enjoyed years of success in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB, British GT and BTCC, including winning five times last season thanks to Rory Butcher and Sam Osborne.
