Five-night stay starts at ₹10,126 Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has launched a special ‘work from hotel’ package, providing professionals a ‘refreshing and soothing ambiance’ in hotel rooms in Kerala as an alternative to the ‘work from home’ set-up, a statement said on Wednesday.
This is part of the Railways’ catering and tourism arm’s efforts to rekindle confidence among guests to step out for availing hospitality services in the post- COVID-19 world, the IRCTC said in the statement.
The package per person on triple occupancy for five night stay starts from ₹10,126 and includes disinfected rooms, all three meals, tea/coffee, complimentary Wi-Fi, secured parking place for vehicle, and travel insurance.

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd (IRCTC) has announced that due to recent increase in corona cases, IRCTC Lucknow-New Delhi Tejas Express [Train No. 82501-02] is being temporarily suspended from 9th April to 30th April, 2021. The situation is being monitored continuously and action to re-operate the train will be taken accordingly.

The IRCTC has formed a new catering policy by unbundling the current services on trains, the Ministry of Railways said on Saturday. The decision was taken a day after the CAG released a report critical of the food served in stations and trains.
The ministry in an official statement said that the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd (IRCTC) will set up new kitchens and upgrade existing ones in order to upgrade the quality of food preparation.

New Delhi: During an earnings call on Friday, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd (IRCTC) said that it expects to keep the reservation fee intact for the unreserved coaches of the Indian Railways may continue even after the resumption of normal train services in the country.
It said that Indian Railways may continue to keep the reservation system intact in long-distance trains for general(2S)class. However, the final decision regarding the continuation of keeping the reservation system in general class will be taken by the Ministry of Railways.
