Currently, the number of gurdwaras and temples in Pakistan stands at 1,830 LAHORE: This year, several gurdwaras and temples across Pakistan will undergo renovation as the country is home to hundreds of holy places belonging to minorities. Currently, the number of gurdwaras and temples in Pakistan stands at 1,830. Unfortunately, only 31 temples and gurdwaras out of the said tally are operational as of now, prompting the government into concrete action. The renovation of several temples and gurdwaras is likely to be completed this year in collaboration with the Evacuee Trust Property Board, the provincial governments and the Sikh and Hindu community members.

It will also prepare a report about the required number of hydrants and their installation costs. The Director Civil Defence Punjab, Altaf Baloch, will meet with the Walled City of Lahore Authority (WCLA)  Director General (DG), Kamran Lashari, and the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Managing Director (MD), Syed Zahid Aziz, for discussions and assistance with the project.
