The Swiss luxury watchmaker debuted a new model with modern and vintage aesthetic cues. It s the first Tudor watch to be certified by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS-certified). Created by the Omega and the Swiss government office for measures and standards, the METAS standard measures wristwatch movement and casing performance by running the watch through various tests.
Visually, the piece mixes modern elements with neo-vintage aspects. From its first professional diver s watch, Omega has extended the Seamaster family to include Aqua Terra, Diver 300M, Planet Ocean and Heritage Models.
This year, the Swiss brand revisits the Seamaster 300 from the 1950s and the Diver 300M, launched in 1993, to deepen its expertise in timepieces worn underwater.
Alongside Speedmaster and Railmaster, the Seamaster 300 was a part of the Professional Trilogy created in 1957.
The original watch was equipped with an ingenious high-pressure water-proofing system, and its bezel was designed with a safety feature to prevent accidental turning during dives. The black dial featured luminous indexes and large hands for easy reading underwater.
