Mitch Blaser-led global specialty insurance start-up Mosaic has launched its first product line with the hiring of four senior executives from Ironshore and Marsh. The company has started writing war, terrorism and political violence risks globally out of offices in London and New York.

Mosaic, the new Bermuda-based global specialty insurer, announced it has begun underwriting war, terrorism and political violence risks globally out of offices in London and New York.
Mosaic will offer tailored coverage for a full spectrum of commercial, industrial and residential property risks associated with acts of terror and sabotage, malicious damage, strikes, riots, civil commotion, war perils and related liability around the world. The company’s experienced team includes the following underwriters in London and North America:

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions to Change Legal Structure for North America March 9, 2021
Swiss Re Corporate Solutions announced a plan to streamline the legal entity structure of its North American business.
The changes include establishing Swiss Re Corporate Solutions America Insurance Corp. as its North American flagship insurance carrier.
Also, Corporate Solutions pans to redomesticate its subsidiary North American Specialty Insurance Co. (NAS) to Missouri from New Hampshire, change its name to Swiss Re Corporate Solutions America Insurance Corp. and transfer its other U.S. primary carriers to Swiss Re Corporate Solutions America Insurance Corp.
The legal changes are intended to reduce complexity and improve financial efficiency. This streamlining follows the Swiss Re Group’s announcement on September 25, 2020.

Arch Insurance North America and Coalition have formed a multi-year partnership to provide Coalition with long-term capacity for its U.S. and Canada Cyber and Technology Errors & Omissions insurance programs. The capacity will be available through Arch Insurance North America’s carriers.
The partnership with Arch will support Coalition, a provider of cyber insurance and security tools to help businesses manage and mitigate cyber risk, as it continues to grow. Over the past year, Coalition has grown to more than $150 million of run-rate gross written premium (GWP) and serves more than 41,000 organizations. Coalition uses an analytics-based approach and in-house cybersecurity services in addressing cyber risk.
