Toddler s miracle recovery after being put on life support

The toddler had been to the hospital multiple times that week, getting the “all-clear” from doctors. With no major warning signs the tot’s health deteriorated quickly and Charli was flown from Kingaroy Hospital to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital. Mum Letisha Goodrich said Charli’s health continued to deteriorate on her first night in hospital. “We learned she also had respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and pneumonia,” Mrs Goodrich said. Charli was put on life-support as her body started “shutting down”.

At two and half years old, Dylan Jessop was diagnosed with Sanfilippo Syndrome, a condition which affects the brain and is one of a group of conditions sometimes known as childhood dementia. Dylan sadly passed away in July 2015 at just 12 years old. You never get over it, Mrs Jessop said. We just had in March what would have been his 18th birthday. Mrs Jessop is speaking about her loss to raise awareness for her son s condition. She said it was emotional to pass the milestones that Dylan had missed out on.

Police car involved in Coast crash

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said paramedics were called to Kauri Street in Cooroy at 4.44pm for a two-vehicle crash. She said crews were assessing two stable patients, with one person taken to Nambour Hospital. She said the crash was believed to have occured due to a medical episode The spokeswoman said there was no age or gender reported. A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman confirmed a police car had been involved in a minor crash.

Man accidentally taken into Sunshine Coast COVID ward

We went through a series of doors (to get to the ward) and on pretty much every door we had to go through there was a sign saying under no circumstance is anyone to enter , the man said. The man said he was left on a trolley in front of the reception desk in the ward as the orderly walked around every room looking for a nurse . A nurse came out and saw me there and said what the hell is he doing here? Get him out of here real quick , he said. The man was then taken to another ward and after a few days, while still staying on the ward, he said he decided to write a complaint to the hospital.

Injured man taken to hospital after motorbike, car crash

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the man in his 20s was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with a shoulder injury. He was taken in a stable condition. EARLIER: Paramedics have rushed to West Woombye where a man has been injured in a motorbike and vehicle collision. A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the crash happened on Blackall Range Road and Hamilton Road about 10.10am. Paramedics were treating a man in his 20s for a shoulder injury.
