UPDATE: A remote rescue team has been tasked to reach two climbers who have been âtrappedâ on Mount Tibrogargan for several hours.
Emergency services responded to the popular Glass House Mountains climb after receiving a call for help shortly before midday.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said there were two climbers involved who were trapped near Chicken Rock on the mountain.
The spokeswoman said the remote rescue team estimated at 1.50pm that it would take two hours to reach the pair.
Maroochydore Fire Brigade station officer Ash Dixon said the climbers were on the eastern side of the mountain and either âunfit or not ableâ to continue up or down their climb.

A teenager has been rushed to hospital after he fell about 10m while hiking up a popular Sunshine Coast mountain.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said paramedics were called to Mount Tibrogargan at the Glass House Mountains about 6.30am on Wednesday.
She said the teenager fell while hiking and slid about 10m down.

A passenger in their 30s is being treated by paramedics after they were injured in a two-vehicle crash at Mountain Creek.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said paramedics were called to the corner of Kawana Way and Brightwater Boulevard about 11.20am.
She said the passenger was reportedly a man in his 30s but it was unconfirmed.
