Liberty University’s football team, which landed at No. 23 in the final regular season Associated Press and Coaches Poll Top 25 national rankings, will look to cap off its best season in program history with a win over No. 9/11 Coastal Carolina in the 2020 FBC Mortgage Cure Bowl.
The 2020 FBC Mortgage Cure Bowl will be played at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla., on Saturday, Dec. 26, at 7:30 p.m., broadcast live on ESPN.

NEW ORLEANS – The 2020 Sun Belt Conference Champions dominated the Sun Belt Conference football postseason awards, which were released today, as Coastal Carolina claimed five of the top six honors.

The 2020 FBC Mortgage Cure Bowl will be played at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla., on Dec. 26 at Noon on ESPN. Coastal Carolina is currently 11-0 on the season and is one of five remaining undefeated teams in the country.
The Chanticleers, who posted an 8-0 record in Sun Belt play this season, were scheduled to face off against Louisiana in the Sun Belt Conference Championship game, last Saturday, but the game was canceled due to COVID-19 issues within the Coastal Carolina program. Liberty and Coastal Carolina, former Big South rivals, were scheduled to face each other during Liberty’s regular season finale on Dec. 5 at Brooks Stadium in Conway, S.C. however, the contest was canceled due to COVID-19 issues within the Liberty Football program.
If Coastal Carolina is not the G6 representative in a New Year's 6 Bowl, they and Louisiana should consider bypassing Bowl games & playing the SBC Championship.
When news broke last night of the Sun Belt Conference Championship game being canceled, the disappointment began to sink in for many.
The biggest game in Sun Belt Conference history featuring #17 Louisiana and #9 Coastal Carolina in a 2:30 game on ESPN was off the table.
