Visits to digital groups, websites or email lists that share nude or semi-nude photos of women without their consent, known as slutpages, may be common among US college students, according to a survey conducted at a large university in the USA. The findings, published in the journal
Archives of Sexual Behavior, could help inform sexual violence prevention education offered by universities, according to the authors.
Researchers at Michigan State University, USA found that one in three US college students may be viewing slutpages, based on a study of student behaviour at a large US university. One in ten participants reported using a secret photo storing app to store or share nude images, and one in 30 reported posting nude images or videos online without consent. Younger and male participants were found to be more likely than older or female participants to engage in any of these behaviours.
Performing pleasure: a dive into the phenomenon of fake orgasms
Graphic by Sie Douglas-Fish.
Fake orgasms are a lot more common than you might expect in fact, data from the
Journal of Sex Research indicates that nearly 70 per cent of heterosexual women report having faked an orgasm. With such a large population regularly faking it, there are a variety of rationales including a lack of understanding regarding female pleasure, a desire to please a partner, and expectations for sexual gratification created by the media.
“I would just get bored of sex. It would be happening, and then I would just be like, ‘oh, my God, is this done yet?’,” said 23-year old Sam. “I would just fake an orgasm, so they knew that they had done a good job or so they thought that they had done a good job.”

How To Support Your Child Who Is Questioning Their Sexual Orientation
When I was in college, I told my family I was dating a girl for the first time.
We were out for dinner with my two younger brothers, and after yet another anecdote about a pal from school, one of them said, “Are all your friends gay now?” They weren’t, but I was hanging out with a pretty queer crowd, and it felt weird not to mention my own romantic situation. So I did.
ABC Everyday
Rather than going for hilarity, the familiar drunken hook-up scene the movie opens with leans into horror.

Warning: This article talks about sexual assault.
A daggy nightclub, after-work drinks, a guy and a girl drunkenly chatting and then leaving together. Ending up back at his place, they kick on with more drinks, then head to the bedroom.
It s the kind of scenario that plays out all the time in real life, but also in movies.
We often cut to the morning after scene: two people waking up in bed, hungover, groaning, growing horrified as they look at each other, taking in their semi-dressed or naked state, and asking the question: What the hell happened last night?!
