(WVIR) -A group of Virginia based companies and nonprofits are teaming up to launch a new program to address climate change. Governor Ralph Northam stopped by Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital on Wednesday, May 5, to help launch the initiative. The governor and the Community Climate Collaborative announced the launch of the newly formed Green Business Alliance. It’s a new group with an ambitious agenda.

(WVIR) - Doctors at both UVA Health and Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital say it’s safe in certain situations to get rid of your face mask if you’ve been fully vaccinated against the coronavirus. “I’ve been fully vaccinated and I’ve been meeting up indoors with family members who are also fully vaccinated and having dinner with them in a private setting,” Patrick Jackson, infectious disease doctor at UVA Health, said. “I also have been meeting up indoors with family members who are not fully vaccinated, but who are at low risk of COVID-19.”

Augusta Health, which serves the Augusta County, Staunton and Waynesboro areas, reported an average daily census for the Feb. 19-25 period of 141.1, 54.7 percent of its 258-bed capacity.
