Broome’s death toll stands at 314 as a man in his 60s passed away due to complications from the coronavirus while Tioga’s death toll now stands at 70.

Broome County added 21 cases from the County Executive’s February 28 update to a total of 14,451 to-date on the anniversary of the first case of COVID-19 being found inn downstate New York State (March 1). Chenango County added 37 cases for a total of 2,434 and 53 deaths, Cortland County had ten additional cases from the Sunday report for a total of 3,230 and deaths unchanged at 62. Delaware County reported 12 additional cases in the March 1 update for a total of 1,534. There have been 42 deaths and Tioga County, in addition to reporting the new death, reported 17 new cases since the last update on February 26 for a total of 2,858.
