Niger killings: Senate to meet with Buhari

Share The Senate, on Tuesday, resolved to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari to discuss the security situation in the country occasioned by insurgency, banditry and kidnapping. The resolution was on the heels of a motion by Senator representing Niger East, Sani Musa. Senator Musa while presenting his motion recalled the activities of bandits and Boko Haram terrorists in Shiroro, Munya and Rafi Local Government Areas of Niger State which he noted has taken a dangerous dimension. He noted that almost seven years now his senatorial district has come under constant and sustained multiple deadly attacks by heartless, venomous and hydra-headed Boko Haram terrorists who are always heavily armed with assorted sophisticated and dangerous weapons unleashing their horror on our innocent populace.

Vanguard News FG, JIFORM differ on migration laws On By Festus Ahon, ASABA JOURNALISTS International Forum, JIFORM, has risen against some existing law on migration matters in Nigeria and called for effective legislation to aid migration and its benefits to the country. The Minister of Labour and Employment for the state, Festus Keyamo and the Chairman Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, Senator Adamu Mohammad Bulkachuwa had insisted on adherence to the existing laws guiding migration in Nigeria. Speaking in Calabar at the Cross River State Migration Summit with the theme: Utilizing The Gains Of Migration To Advance Economic Development In Nigeria,  the President of JIFORM, Mr Abayomi Ajibola and over 300 journalists across the continents argued that the existing laws in the country had failed to protect the rights to dignity of labour for Nigerians both within and outside the country.
