What he is talking about is exactly just to reverse some of what the Republicans did in their tax scam where they added almost $2 trillion to the national debt, if you include the cost and the interest on the debt, to give tax breaks to the top, top, wealthiest people in the country,” Pelosi said Wednesday afternoon in an interview on MSNBC.

KUOW - At Biden s 100-Day Mark, Republicans Attempt To Paint His Policies As Far Left

At Biden s 100-Day Mark, Republicans Attempt To Paint His Policies As Far Left at 5:00 am NPR Congressional Republicans are painting President Biden as captive to the far left of his party, despite the popularity of his major initiatives in his first 100 days in office. GOP leaders, and those thinking about running to replace Biden in 2024, are seizing on the crisis at the border and policies they deem far left included in the president s massive infrastructure proposal as pivoting the country down a dangerous path. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., on Tuesday described the president s first 100 days as the Biden bait and switch, saying as a candidate Biden ran as a moderate, but I m hard pressed to think of anything at all that he s done so far that would indicate some degree of moderation.

His prime-time speech on Wednesday night comes together after a months-long delay in order to safely convene but now coincides almost exactly with his 100th day in office – a symbolic marker the administration has used to set certain benchmarks as it pertains to defeating the coronavirus and fulfilling campaign promises either through legislation or executive order.

Now, with hundreds of billions in additional spending proposed for early education, K-12 and higher education as part of a comprehensive $1.9 trillion plan to economically bolster families on the heels of the pandemic, President Joe Biden is hoping to cement a once-in-a-lifetime windfall that could radically reshape education in the U.S. – that is, if he can convince members of Congress to support a major tax hike on the wealthy to pay for it.

Nancy Pelosi Slams GOP Tax Scam, Defends Biden s Tax Hike on Wealthy

Nancy Pelosi defended the proposed tax hikes to fund Biden s $4 trillion infrastructure plans. She told MSNBC the hikes are a response to the GOP tax scam of 2017, which benefited the wealthy. GOP lawmakers have strongly opposed the hikes, calling them part of a socialist vision for the country.  Ahead of President Joe Biden s unveiling of his $1.8 trillion infrastructure plan on Wednesday, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi spoke out in defense of the president s tax increase proposals to fund the plan. Pelosi joined MSNBC s Andrea Mitchell on Wednesday afternoon to talk about Biden s progress since he took office, and she was quick to defend the tax hikes to fund his infrastructure plan, which Republicans have strongly opposed.
