Bhofack2/Getty Images Included in the still-secret details of the COVID-19 stimulus deal struck Sunday is a three-martini lunch tax break for corporations, according to The Washington Post. Officials familiar with the negotiations told the paper that the measure is in a draft of the proposal.  The corporate tax break would allow companies to deduct the full cost of a business meal from their federal taxes, rather than the current 50%.

The House voted Sunday night for a 24-hour extension so the government will remain funded, since the deadline to avoid a shutdown was 11:59 p.m. The deal also includes $25 billion in direct rental assistance and extends the eviction moratorium, $82 billion for education funding, $45 billion for public transit systems and $13 billion for increased food stamps and child nutrition benefits.
