LANSING, Mich. â Michigan Republicans say Governor Whitmer has not been having meaningful conversations with state lawmakers on how her administration is responding to the coronavirus pandemic.
Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey and Speaker of the House Jason Wentworth held a joint press conference Thursday morning. The two both said Governor Whitmer refused to listen to state lawmakers on how Michigan deals with the pandemic. Since March 2020, I have had just one offer to have a conversation with the Governor. Several presentations, but only one conversation, said Shirkey.

She didn t repeat the infamous pledge she made to Michigan residents as she led them into a single state recession and one of the worst economic decades in Michigan history.
But she may as well have. The familiar, fabulist message of a bright green future with millions of new jobs making clean things that Granholm promised during the hearing was a near echo of what she told Michigan residents, before she ruined the state.
