ISLAMABAD: Chairman Senate Committee on Interior and senior leader of the Pakistan People’s Party Senator Abdul Rehman Malik on Saturday suggested that the parliament should draft the Terms of Reference for the inquiry committee probing the Broadsheet case.
“An independent and transparent probe into Broadsheet case should be ensured so that responsibility could be fixed,” he said while talking with The News on Saturday. Chairman Senate Committee on Interior Rehman Malik said General (retd) Pervez Musharraf ruled the country for a decade and agreement with Broadsheet was signed during his tenure.
“There was a specific timeline of it and when the sovereign state signed an agreement with someone then, foreign courts implemented it,” he said. He said Broadsheet will turn into a charge sheet, then into history sheet.

ISLAMABAD: Senate Standing Committee on Interior Chairman and former federal interior minister Senator Abdul Rehman Malik and Japan Ambassador to Pakistan Matsuda Kuninori met on Wednesday in Japan Embassy on lunch.
Ambassador Matsuda had invited him at lunch in embassy wherein matters of mutual interest, regional security situation and measures to further cement bilateral cooperation between the two countries were discussed. Rehman Malik thanked Japanese ambassador and his government for the continued support to Pakistan at the most difficult times particularly in fight against COVID-19 and 2005 massive earthquake in Azad Kashmir and adjacent areas.

ISLAMABAD: The chairman Senate Standing Committee on Interior and former interior minister, Senator Abdul Rehman Malik, has demanded legal necessary proceedings against Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his baseless allegations against Pakistan after Arnab Goswami’s WhatsApp chat leaks and revelation by Disinfolab EU.
“Both leaks have exposed the real face of the BJP and Narendra Modi before the world and the proven facts of Indian Prime Minister Modi allegations against our sovereign state duly confirmed by Arnab Goswami is a part of UN record for necessary legal proceeding against Narendra Modi and the government should proceed against him in UN and ICJ,” he said while addressing a press conference on Monday.
