As Republicans predictably cried foul over Major League Baseball s Friday decision to relocate the 2021 All-Star Game from Atlanta in response to Georgia s restrictive new voting law, prominent Democrats blamed the GOP for the economic toll the move will take on the Peach State. Abrams said in a statement that the Republicans behind the new law passed it knowing the economic risks to our state yet prioritized making it harder for people of color to vote over the economic well-being of Georgians. Six Asian women among those killed in US spa shootings, amid anxiety over hate crimes

Share on Twitter Six Asian women were among eight people shot and killed at spas around the US city of Atlanta Tuesday, with a white man in custody on suspicion of staging all three attacks, police said. The shootings came with many Asian-Americans already on edge following a recent spike in hate crimes against the community, and triggered immediate fears that Asian-run businesses may have been deliberately targeted. Four of the victims were killed at Young s Asian Massage near Acworth, a suburb of Georgia state capital Atlanta, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.
