The result is a rebuff for Scott Morrison and potentially shifts the leadership dynamic inside the Nationals. Senators James McGrath and Amanda Stoker were in a hard-fought battle for the top spot on the Queensland LNP Senate ticket.  Nine Media Senator McGrath, who was instrumental in the leadership coups that saw off both Tony Abbott and Malcolm Turnbull, beat Senator Stoker, the assistant Attorney-General, Assistant Minister for Industrial Relations and Assistant Minister for Women, by 212 votes to 101 votes with three informal votes.
