(NASDAQ, TASE: GILT), a worldwide leader in satellite networking technology, solutions and services, announces that Gilat has shipped initial aero modems, out of a multi-million-dollar potential in China. A leading Chinese system integrator, to install Gilat s aero modem, for the Ka-band In-flight Entertainment and Connectivity (IFEC) system, on the entire fleet of the first airline in China and on additional domestic airlines.
IFEC on-board the first aircraft is already operational, providing commercial service with remarkable performance, enabled by Gilat s aero modem, Taurus. The Chinese airline is the first fleet out of a potential of 3,500 commercial aircraft operating in China.

Myanmar’s February 1 military coup d’etat resulted in Aung San Suu Kyi, the 1991 Nobel Peace Prize-winner, being put back under house arrest. Prior to her party gaining civilian rule in 2011, Suu Kyi had been in detention for nearly 15 years from 1989 to 2010.
Suu Kyi’s party, the National Democratic League for Democracy, claimed to have won the country’s November 2020 election in a landslide. Her party was due to be sworn in by the Myanmar Parliament on February 2. Instead, the military declared the election fraudulent and in addition to Suu Kyi, they detained various ministers and members of Parliament.

The award of high-availability communication system was granted by CORPAC, the Peruvian Corporation of Commercial Airports and Aviation. This award follows Gilat’s successful execution of large government projects and well positions Gilat for additional large deals in Peru.
CORPAC, is a government entity in charge of the administration of most of the airports in Peru. Gilat will design, supply, implement and commission equipment for Communication Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) services in Peru’s airports.

Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd., a worldwide leader in satellite networking technology, solutions and services, announces the successful test of its Electronically Steered Antenna (ESA) over Inmarsat’s Global Xpress (GX) network. Gilat’s open-architecture proven ESA has been integrated with Inmarsat’s G-MODMAN solution.
For the first time, a live demonstration of an ESA terminal was performed on an Inmarsat operational GX satellite. The successful test was performed on Inmarsat-5 F1 satellite at 62.6 degrees East. Gilat’s self-pointing antenna logged-on automatically to the GX network, supporting bi-directional real-time communication in both fixed and dynamic antenna positioning modes. Beam steering under the changing elevation and skew angles was done while managing the power spectral density (PSD) threshold, in order to minimize interference with neighboring satellites, in accordance to regulations.
