FULTON, Mo. The City Council delayed a vote on an alcohol policy for the Legends Rec Plex during its meeting Tuesday.
Parks and Recreation Director Clay Caswell outlined the drafted policy, which would allow for those renting the facility s banquet room to bring in alcohol for consumption or to bring in a caterer with a consumption license to serve or sell alcohol.
The consumption of alcohol would be allowed only in the banquet room or on the patio, according to the policy. Caswell said the city would be required to have a consumption license from the state but would not purchase licenses to sell alcohol at the Rec Plex.

Washington, DC - The Justice Department announced Wednesday that the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) is releasing $7.65 million in a competitive microgrant grant solicitation that will fund body-worn cameras (BWCs) to any law enforcement department with 50 or fewer full-time sworn personnel, rural agencies (those agencies within non-urban or non-metro counties); and federally-recognized Tribal agencies.
“The Justice Department is committed to providing law enforcement with valuable resources to increase accountability and build trust with the communities they serve,” said Attorney General Merrick B. Garland. “Today we encourage all small, rural and Tribal law enforcement agencies to apply for funding for this important tool that will enhance protection for both officers and citizens.”

(Mandan, ND) Mandan Police officers are hoping to get body cameras.
At Tuesday s city commission meeting officials told the department they can take the next steps toward getting them, which is applying for the Department of Justice s Body-Worn Camera Policy and Implementation Program. Officers say this move would add another safety protection to operations.
It will be expensive to outfit officers with the cameras. There s 27-point-five-million dollars in federal funding available to departments for cameras and awards will be given this fall.
