Earth Day pushes sustainability to the top of the agenda, travel retail companies are rushing to show their own sustainable credentials and innovations.
The focus for this year’s event is ‘Restore Our Earth’, with a focus on innovative thinking that can restore the world’s ecosystems.
Sustainability has been a big talking point in the travel retail sector for the last few years, but – like so many other trends – its importance has been amplified by the pandemic.

Aer Rianta International (ARI) has updated its environmental, social and governance (ESG) strategy in line with the marked change in consumer behaviour driven by the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic and the organisationâs intention to develop a more conscious shopping offering.
The five-year strategy, which is based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals reinforces ARIâs commitment to conducting business in a socially, ethically and environmentally responsible manner for its customers, partners and team.
