Scott Tannas, confirmed today he travelled to Hawaii during the holidays but the group s deputy leader hasn t said yet whether she travelled abroad at a time when the government is strongly recommending against leaving the country due to the pandemic. In an emailed statement to The Canadian Press, Tannas said he will be returning to Alberta soon. Tannas said that he complied with all the rules and health protocols required to safely travel abroad during his holiday, and he will be ready to get back to work with the Senate resumes its sittings.
