Black Comedy, Steven Oliver is probably best known as the camp clown with the swivelling hips and the “what’s this then.slut?” tagline.
But the veteran performer’s new cabaret,
Bigger and Blacker, proves he’s much, much more than that.
Born in Cloncurry as a descendent of six different First Nations peoples - the Kuku-Yalanji, Waanyi, Gangalidda, Woppaburra, Bundjalung and Biripi - Oliver shows off at least six top-drawer talents in this show.
In the late 1960's, before the invention of "playdates," I was allowed to just be a kid.
My afternoons were filled with bike riding, exploring the stream that ran behind my house and playing Wiffle b.
