Lechlade drug-driver stopped in Fairford handed driving ban

A 22-year-old has been banned from driving for 12 months after he was charged with drug-driving in Fairford. Jordan Nicholls, 22, of Gassons Road, Lechlade, pleaded guilty to the offence when he appeared before Cheltenham Magistrates Court on March 19. Magistrates heard how Nicholls drove his Volkswagen Polo on Leafield Road, Fairford, on June 20 last year, while under the influence of cannabis. Nicholls also indicated a guilty plea for possession of cannabis. He was fined fined £100, ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34 and pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Man sentenced for breached non-molestation order in the Cotswolds A COTSWOLD man has been given an electronic tag and placed under curfew after he found guilty of breaching a non molestation order. Jamie Dyer, 30, of Tinkers Close, Moreton-in-Marsh, indicated a plea of guilty when he appeared before Cheltenham Magistrates Court on March 9. Magistrates heard how between August 1 and August 20 last year, Dyer breached a non-molestation order by making phone calls to a person which he was prohibited from making. Dyer was given a two month curfew with electronic monitoring which prevents him leaving the house between 8pm and 7am. He was also ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £95 and pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
