These three sisters are only nine weeks old but are ready to be a part of your family. With that said, if you are interested in any one, or all three of them, they ll need to stay at the VHS a few extra days as none have been spayed just yet.
Their adoption fee is $70 each, and as with all VHS adoption fees, covers the cost of their spaying, plus microchipping, and having their vaccinations up to date. If you ve decided that, yes, you definitely want them to be part of your family, you can begin the adoption process at the VHS website.

Louisiana has some crazy statutes on the books, but we re pretty sure we don t have one about molesting alligators like they do in Florida. I took this picture last Friday night when I was out to dinner with a friend on the banks of Orange Lake at the Eagle s Nest Cafe in Citra, FL. Have we really sunk so low as to have to not only post signs about molesting the alligators but enact legislation as well? It appears they have in Florida!
New Fun Shreveport Area Horse Show Series Starts Saturday

A new breed of horse show is coming to northwest Louisiana and the series starts this Saturday, May 22, 2021, starting at 8 am at Holly Hill Equestrian Center in Benton, LA. The Mane Dream four horse show series is being organized by Donna Canales because so many other events in the area have been canceled due to facilities being made unavailable due to winter weather damage, the last vestiges of COVID-19, etc.
What s cool about these shows is that they re made to be fun, with divisions like Fabulous Over 40, To the Nines, Yardstick Club, Gettin Fancy, and more. Entries are being taken through tomorrow, Wednesday, May 19th at 5 pm and you can either pay by division or for $150, you can enter any class you want, all day long! Meet Barb, the third-longest resident at the Vanderburgh Humane Society. The 4-year-old brown tabby is the perfect mix of sugar and spice, according to Amanda at the VHS. Plus, she loves both people and cats until she s done for the day (can t we all say that on certain days?). She also likes to use her paws for play, which leads to her being a little rough at times, but if you don t mind a little sass in your felines, Barb might just be the perfect companion for you.
Amanda says Barb has lived with several cats in multiple places, she doesn t stir the pot very often, and isn t afraid to stick up for herself when she feels like she s being picked on.
