PET pooches in Cumbria are being asked to come forward to give blood to help save the lives of dogs across the country. Pet Blood Bank is calling for dog owners in Carlisle to come forward and help top up the doggy blood bank. Launched in 2007, Pet Blood Bank UK is the only charity that provides a blood bank service for all vets across the UK. And, Vets4Pets Carlisle is running the blood donation session on Thursday, May 6, and happy, confident dogs are needed to come along and help. The blood bank is just like the human blood service, but for dogs.

Charity Pet Blood Bank UK have partnered with Hadrian Vets, on Dene Avenue, to host their first collection day in the town this Sunday, February 7 and are calling for dogs to come forward. Pet Blood Bank collect blood donations from donor dogs across the UK which then go towards helping to save the lives of other dogs in need. DOG OWNERS are being asked to bring their pet forward for a dog blood bank collection. Pet Blood Bank UK has announced that they are starting to run lifesaving blood collection days in Blackburn, and they need the town’s dogs to come forward. Animal Trust Vets has partnered with the charity and is now looking for donor dogs to attend their very first donor session this Saturday (February 6). This is the first time the charity has visited Blackburn to run dog blood donation sessions which helps saves the lives of other dogs in need across the country.
