It s said that the infusion center will begin taking patients on Thursday, January 21st.
The center has been provided with Regeneron s monoclonal antibodies and Bamlanivimab to treat outpatient cases of COVID-19 who meet certain criteria and have referral from a hospital or doctor.
This infusion center has been established through a partnership with TDEM, the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Covenant Health System and UMC Health System.
Infusion therapy is recommended for patients who are unable to be treated effectively using oral medication, providing fluid medication directly into the vein. A family from Midland has donated $810,000 to fund student scholarships and faculty development at Lubbock Christian University.
Bill, Mildred and Lewis Wayne Crozier designated the contribution to 3 major colleges and departments. The bulk of it, $700,000, was used to set up a professorship in the LCU School of Business accounting department. Alongside this, the Alfred and Patricia Smith College of Biblical Studies received $100,000 to endow student scholarships and LCU School of Education received $10,000 to do the same.
This new professorship will enable Lubbock Christian s School of Business accounting program to supplement faculty salaries, provide professional development opportunities for faculty members and student scholarships.
