(CNN) Streaming has carried Disney through the pandemic with Disney+ growing to more than 100 million subscribers. Yet the biggest star in Disney s media universe shined a little less bright on Thursday.
Disney+ now has 103.6 million subscribers, below the 110 million that many on Wall Street were expecting. Disney s stock was down as much as 4% in after hours trading after the news of its subscriber growth drop.
This is very similar to what happened to Netflix, whose stock took a tumble following sluggish subscriber growth in the last quarter.
As for Disney s revenue, that also was soft, coming in at $15.6 billion for the quarter, 13% below last year s figure, the company said in its second quarter earnings announcement. That, too, was also slightly below what the market expected.

Shamcey Supsup has the honor to bring the “missing piece” of the national costume to be worn by the country’s bet to the 69th
Miss Universe pageant.
The former beauty queen, who sits as the national director of Miss Universe Philippines Organization, shared a picture of a huge cargo in a conveyor belt with the following caption:
“The missing piece to @rabiyamateo’s natcos (national costume) en route to Miami,” Shamcey wrote on Sunday.
The coronation night of the international beauty pageant will be held at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Florida, United States on May 17 (Philippine time).

Pageant fans missed Shamcey Supsup-Lee, the charismatic national director of Miss Universe Philippines, during the departure of Rabiya Mateo for the 69th Miss Universe pageant recently.
Fans said they were expecting the former Binibini-turned-businesswoman to join Rabiya at the airport, but she wasn’t around.
So where’s Shamcey?

According to Jonas Gaffud, creative director for Miss Universe Philippines, Shamcey did not join them at the airport.
“Aside from Miss Universe Philippines, Shamcey has kids and family business to attend to. Madalas nasa Zoom lang kami these days because of the pandemic,” said Gaffud, who is now in Los Angeles, during an interview on Monday, April 12.
Former beauty queen-turned-businesswoman Shamcey Supsup-Lee unleashed her artistic side as she dabbled in watercolor painting.
Supsup-Lee, now president of Miss Universe Philippines Organization, shared on her new love of painting of Instagram Sunday, Feb. 21.
