Police have launched an investigation after claims a big cat may be behind a series of sheep killings in Cheshire.
Initially it was thought a dog was responsible for the deaths of 10 sheep on a farm in Macclesfield last month but officers now believe a larger predator may be the culprit.
It comes after the farmer told police of a very large black cat type animal spotted near the farm not a million miles from the farm some years ago.
