Labor contractor indicted for operating undocumented worker conspiracy and extensive tax fraud

PHILADELPHIA   Acting United States Attorney Jennifer Arbittier Williams announced that Miguel Morales of Quarryville, PA; Jose Morales, also of Quarryville, PA; Oscar Carrillo-Perez of West Grove, PA; and Santiago Garcia-Ramirez of Landenberg, PA; were arrested in a take-down operation conducted this morning following their Indictment on charges of conspiring to transport, and transporting, people who are not lawfully present in the United States. Additionally, Morales was charged with making false statements. In a separate Indictment, Miguel Morales and Lawrence Urena of Spring Lake, North Carolina (who was also arrested) were charged with conspiracy to defraud the United States and failure to collect and pay employment taxes.

4 men arrested on charges of transporting undocumented workers after federal raid in Quarryville, Lancaster County

Two Lancaster County men were among four people arrested Wednesday in a raid by federal agents investigating charges of illegal transportation of undocumented workers to mushroom farms in Chester County, the U.S. Department of Justice announced. Miguel Morales, 48, and Jose Morales, 39, both of Quarryville, were taken into custody during a take-down operation Wednesday morning, according to Acting U.S. Attorney Jennifer Arbittier Williams. Also arrested were two Chester County men: Oscar Carillo-Perez, 35, of West Grove, and Santiago Garcia-Ramierz, 44, of Landenberg, Williams said. All four were indicted on charges of conspiring to transport, and transporting, people who are not lawfully present in the United States, according to Williams.

(Chester County District Attorney s Office) AVONDALE, PA A man wearing a Homeland Security ankle bracelet and who is a Guatemalan refugee sold methamphetamine on two occasions in Avondale, according to the Chester County District Attorney s Office. The Chester County District Attorney s Office has charged Darinel Lucas-Gomez, 28, of Avondale, with possession with intent to deliver $22,000 in methamphetamine, along with related offenses. Gomez allegedly sold methamphetamine on two occasions, one-eighth of an ounce on March 29, and six and a half ounces on March 30, the D.A. s report said. He had another 11 ounces in his possession on March 30 at his Avondale apartment, law enforcement said.
