A CLOSURE order has been imposed on a house in Ellesmere Port in response to relentless anti-social behaviour and drug activity. The property on Oldfield Road has had all its windows and doors boarded up and will remain so for three months. Anyone who enters the address during that time is committing an offence and can be arrested. The closure order was granted at Chester Magistrates Court on Wednesday, December 23, under the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. Inspector Paul Fegan, from Ellesmere Port Local Policing Unit, said: “Those living or attending to this property have caused the local community a great deal of anxiety over the years.
Chester Magistrates Court AN arrest warrant has been issued for a man accused of turning up to Chester Magistrates Court with a knuckle duster. Marek Novak, 40, of Newhaven Avenue, Manchester, was due to appear at Chester Magistrates Court on Wednesday, December 23, to enter a plea on the charge of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place. However, Novak did not turn up to the court in his allotted time slot, and a warrant was issued for his arrest as a result. It is alleged Novak previously turned up at Chester Magistrates Court on December 7 for a separate, road traffic totters hearing, while in possession of the knuckle duster.
