CHERAW, S.C. (WMBF) - Authorities are searching for a missing Pee Dee man who may be in Myrtle Beach.
The Chesterfield County Sheriff’s office said Caleb Wooten went missing Tuesday from his home on Mumford Lane in Cheraw.
His mother told deputies she last spoke with him early Tuesday morning when he dropped her off at work.

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, S.C. Authorities are asking for the public s help to find a missing Chesterfield County man.
Deputies say Caleb Wooten went missing from his residence on Mumford Lane in Cheraw, South Carolina, on Tuesday, May 4, 2021. Wooten s mother says she last spoke with him around 5 a.m., when he dropped her off at work.
Wooten was last seen driving a champagne colored 2007 Honda Accord with SC tag no. 8390JF. Deputies say Wooten may may be traveling towards Myrtle Beach, SC.

The infant was able to go home to Chesterfield County and recover thanks to the deputyâs life-saving measures.

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, S.C. (WBTV) - A South Carolina deputy has been awarded with the Medal of Valor for his life-saving efforts with an infant who was found unresponsive while struggling with COVID-19.

According to the sheriffâs office, on October 20, 2020, Deputy Shawn Gopaul was dispatched to a call in the Pageland area for an infant who was unresponsive. When he got to the scene, Deputy Gopaul quickly began to administer CPR until EMS arrived.
