It’s well-known that during times of trouble, such as a global pandemic, nostalgia becomes a comfortable place to dwell, whether that’s finding comfort in the foods you used to eat as a child or setting your Spotify playlist to 90s tunes. And Hollywood has welcomed the collective global nostalgia trip we’re all currently on with open arms.
Following in the footsteps of
Saved By The Bell, which was successfully rebooted under the premise that Zack Morris became the governor of California, and in a bid to make Bayside High more inclusive introduces a new group of working class students to the school who clash with the rich kids, it seems that every network and streamer is currently on a major reboot kick.
Tiffani Thiessen can confirm just who Mac’s real dad is – it’s Zack Morris.
The 46-year-old actress, who plays Kelly Kapowski Morris on the reboot of
Saved By The Bell on Peacock, spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the hot debate, which went viral on social media of just who Mac’s father really was.
During the season one finale, Kelly mentions her ex-boyfriend Jeff, after Mac questions if he even knows his father.
Kelly responded with “You’re not Jeff’s”, which led fans to question if Zack was actually the father.
“I promise you it’s not Jeff,” she says. “I mean, look at him! [Mac] looks exactly like Mark-Paul [Gosselaar]. It was such a good line to add in there, wasn’t it? That’s [executive producer] Tracey [Wigfield] for you.”

The Oakland A’s invited the Lansing Lugnuts to join their list of minor league affiliates this week, with the entire minors undergoing a hefty realignment. If all goes according to plan, then Lansing will be their new High-A club, after spending the last 15 seasons in the Blue Jays system.
There’s a lot to like about the Lugnuts, beyond a high-quality minor league name and logo. For example their ballpark, Jackson Field, features apartment units behind the outfield wall in a view reminiscent of the B&O Warehouse behind Camden Yards in Baltimore. Vladimir Guerrero Jr is among the prospects who have rented there while playing for the team, simply walking across the field after the game to go home like they’re in the movie
