A working group created to make health and other services more accessible for sexual and gender minorities has released a directory of providers who offer identity-affirming services.
The directory, which was put together by the state Department of Health Sexual and Gender Minority Workgroup in response to community requests, covers local providers and businesses that offer services on Maui, Oahu, Hawaii island and statewide. The providers, who opted to be included late last year, “actively work to make their business a safe space, where everyone can start out with the basic agreement that any SGM client’s identity is valid,” the directory said.
