April 21 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 8,271 cases of Covid-19 and 399 deaths in the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Wednesday. Over the past day, 8,271 Covid-19 cases were confirmed in 83 regions of Russia, including 1,011 asymptomatic cases identified proactively (12.2%), the headquarters said. In the past 24 hours, 9,644 patients were discharged from hospitals upon recovery, and 399 patients died from Covid-19 across Russia. According to the headquarters, Moscow saw 1,988 new cases of Covid-19, 58 deaths and 1,744 recoveries in the past 24 hours. Moscow reports the biggest number of coronavirus infections among Russian regions, while morbidity is the lowest in Tuva (three cases) and the Jewish Autonomous District (one). There were zero cases in the Nenets Autonomous District and the Chukotka Autonomous District.
