Kuwait finds another fee to impose on passengers traveling through Kuwait International Airport - ARAB TIMES

Messenger KUWAIT CITY, Jan 30: The State Ministry for Services Affairs has imposed new fees on passengers traveling through Kuwait International Airport for the services provided to them, reports Al-Seyassah daily. The State Minister for Services Affairs and the State Minister for Housing Affairs Dr. Abdullah Marafie issued a ministerial Resolution No. 23/2021, as per which these fees will be KD 3 for each passenger leaving Kuwait, and KD 2 for each arriving passenger. The charges will be added to the ticket starting from the beginning of June. The resolution affirmed the amendment of the process with the introduction of operational fees for airport operations management services and passenger services following the review of Decree No. 272/2017 concerning the supervision of civil aviation affairs as well as ministerial Resolution No. 1/2019 issued on January 15, 2019 regarding fees for the services provided by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.

‘100 pct work capacity against fourth phase’ KUWAIT CITY, Jan 7: Head of the labor union of the Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW) Abdul Rahman Al-Ghanim revealed that the union is against the PAHW’s implementation of fingerprint attendance system, and the resumption of work at 100-percent capacity, which is against the fourth phase of the Cabinet’s plan for the return to normalcy, reports Aljarida daily. In a press statement, Al-Ghanim said the union is working on submitting an official request by next week to the State Minister for Housing Affairs and the State Minister for Services Affairs Dr. Abdullah Marafie to express the union’s refusal. He insisted that necessary actions should be taken regarding this matter, as is the case with the rest of the state ministries to protect the employees as part of the precautionary measures towards the COVID-19 pandemic, which has not yet ended.
