The Morrison government has joined international partners in directly blaming China for a major cyber-attack earlier this year despite facing strong opposition from Beijing.

China has denied accusations it was behind a major cyber-attack on Microsoft after Western world allies including Australia, the United States and Japan joined forces to directly blame the Asian superpower.
In a joint media release, Foreign Affairs Minister Marise Payne expressed “serious concerns” over China’s “malicious” cyber activities which compromised the intellectual property of the company.
