Rostelecom cyber-ranges to host 5 security exercises in 2021 - Deputy PM Chernyshenko MOSCOW. May 14 (Interfax) - Cyber-ranges of Rostelecom will host five exercises this year to practice deterrence of information security threats in various areas, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said after a meeting on the establishment of cyber-ranges. The national cyber-range network will be created in furtherance of the Information Security federal project of the Digital Economy national program. It will consist of sectoral ranges and will provide infrastructure for developing skills of information security and IT specialists, and for testing software and hardware through the modeling of cyberattacks on the infrastructure of enterprises from various economic sectors, as well as on the authorities. There is a separate segment for every sector imitating inherent business processes and cyberattack scenarios.
