According to details, a meeting of the special committee on closing the pay gap between government employees was convened under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Usman Buzdar. Provincial Ministers Raja Basharat, Mian Aslam Iqbal, Hashim Jawan Bakht, Syed Hussain Jahania Gardezi, CM Principal Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary, Secretary Finance and other officials attended the meeting.

Punjab achieves record 20 9 million metric ton wheat target, says agriculture minister

Daily Times May 13, 2021 Punjab Agriculture Minister Syed Hussain Jahania Gardezi Wednesday said that bumper wheat crop was achieved as over 20.9 million metric ton wheat target was obtained this year which is record. While giving a media briefing at the Multan press club here , the provincial minister said that wheat was cultivated over 16.1 million acres of land after an effective awareness drive launched by the government while 31.5 per mound per acre wheat yield was achieved. Agriculture minister said that the credit of bumper cotton crop goes to tireless efforts of growers and agriculture scientists. He said that the Punjab government was providing exemplary relief to growers following the Prime Minister’s agriculture reforms programme.
