Somerset County doctor accused of sex crimes by 3 patients
A 64-year-old gynecologist and obstetrician is accused of raping or molesting at least three women patients, according to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office.
Chike J. Aguh, of the Belle Mead section of Hillsborough, was arrested on Wednesday, stemming from a woman’s report that she was sexually assaulted during a medical appointment at the doctor’s office in Franklin, Somerset County Prosecutor Michael Robertson said.
That report was made on Jan. 2 regarding an incident in June 2020, Robertson said.
Aguh surrendered and was charged with second-degree sexual assault.
Aguh was previously arrested on Jan. 13 and charged with second-degree sexual assault after a woman reported being sexually assaulted by the man during a medical appointment the day before, according to the prosecutor’s office.

A South Bound Brook mother accused of killing her 4-year-old-son appeared emotionless in the wake of his death, allegedly telling police, “This is pretty serious,” charging documents show.
Elina Gutti, 38, from South Bound Brook, is accused of killing her son, Aiden Singhania, early Saturday morning.
Gutti called 911, saying her wrist was cut while she was sleeping, charging documents say. When police arrived at the South Bound Brook home Gutti was holding a towel over her wrist and had blood on her hands, police said.

A New Jersey mom who called 9-1-1 for a minor wrist injury overnight was charged with murder after officers found her 4-year-old son who later died with cuts on his body in a bedroom, authorities said.
Elina Gutti, 38, of South Bound Brook (Somerset County) called 9-1-1 on Feb. 6 saying she had unexplained injuries on her left wrist around 2:30 a.m., Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson said.
Her injuries required minor medical treatment, but on further assessment, officers found a 4-year-old boy with serious cuts in a first floor bedroom of the home, Robertson said alongside local and county officials.

A tragedy was avoided when a Pennsylvania man who led police on a wild chase after stealing a dog from a New Jersey home got out of his car holding a gun which he dropped at officers orders, authorities said.
Nico Rogers, 31, of, Irwin, PA, was being held in the Somerset County jail on charges of eluding, unlawful possession of a weapon and burglary, Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson said.
Hillsborough police got a 9-1-1 call reporting a suspicious car trespassing near Wertsville Road around 11:20 a.m., Robertson said alongside Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Chief of County Detectives John W. Fodor and Hillsborough Township Chief of Police Michael McMahon.
