A boss of a Weston-super-Mare butchers has been given a suspended prison sentence for health and safety breaches - after an apprentice lost two fingers in a mincer.
Seventeen year-old apprentice Dylan Jewell-Deverson was using a mincer at the Worle Village Butchers in The Maltings, Worle, when his left hand was drawn into the machine.
Two of his fingers were amputated to the second knuckle.
His injuries put pay to him following his dream of a career in the Armed Forces.
