Vallejo woman gets probation after no-contest plea to using stolen gas card
VALLEJO Vallejo resident Michelle Marie Rivas, 25, pleaded no contest earlier this week in Solano County Superior Court to one count of identity theft after a California Department of Insurance investigation revealed Rivas attempted to use a stolen state-issued Visa gas card.
The news came from a press release issued Wednesday from the California Department of Insurance.
A California Department of Insurance vehicle was burglarized in November 2019 and the gas card was stolen. Detectives investigated the burglary and found several attempts had been made to use the card at gas stations in American Canyon, Vallejo and Benicia.
