VANCOUVER, BC and HOBRO, Denmark, May 27, 2021 /PRNewswire/ - Ballard Power Systems (NASDAQ: BLDP) (TSX: BLDP) today announced purchase orders from Solaris Bus & Coach S.A. ( Solaris ; www.solarisbus.com), a leading European bus and trolleybus manufacturer and Ballard partner headquartered in Bolechowo, Poland, for 13 Ballard FCmove™ fuel cell modules to power 13 Fuel Cell Electric Buses (FCEBs) deployed with In-der-City-Bus GmbH ( ICB ), which operates bus routes in Frankfurt, Germany. Ballard plans to ship the modules in 2021 and the buses are planned for deployment in 2022.

BUCHAREST (Romania), May 19 (SeeNews) - Solaris Bus & Coach, a unit of Spain s Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles (CAF), said on Wednesday it has signed an 82 million lei ($20.3 million/ 16.6 million euro) contract to deliver 32 electric buses and 42 charging stations to the Romanian city of Targu Mures.
The new Urbino 12 type electric buses which can carry up to 82 passengers will be delivered within a period of 22 months, the company said in a press release.
Under the contract, Solaris will also deliver 10 fast charging stations, each with a capacity of 300kW, as well as 32 slow charging stations.

BUCHAREST (Romania), May 17 (SeeNews) - Solaris Bus & Coach, a unit of Spain s Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles (CAF), said on Monday that it has signed an 100.4 million lei ($25 million/ 20.4 million euro) contract to deliver 40 electric buses and 51 charging stations to the Romanian southern city of Pitesti.
The new Urbino 12 type electric buses which can carry up to 82 passengers will be delivered within a period of 22 months, the company said in a press release.
Under the contract, Solaris will also deliver 11 fast charging stations, each with a capacity of 300kW, as well as 40 slow charging stations.
Solaris begins delivery of 12 hydrogen buses to Bolzano
New Urbino models running on hydrogen are about to join the fleet of electric buses of Solaris which have been serving as transport means for Bolzano residents for years. Solaris Bus & Coach has begun the delivery of vehicles under a deal signed in May 2019.
Public transport operator SASA Bolzano, Italy was the first of Solaris’ clients to opt for the hydrogen Urbino model. Solaris has begun delivery of 12 Solaris Urbino 12 hydrogen models, finalizing a contract signed in May 2019.
The hydrogen buses of Solaris are another option in the manufacturer’s zero-emission portfolio, next to trolleybuses and battery-powered buses; what distinguishes them from standard electric buses is that electric power is generated directly on board the vehicle.
