SAUGATUCK, MI Saugatuck is the latest West Michigan city to offer temporary expanded outdoor drinking amid the coronavirus pandemic.
In an effort to support bars and restaurants, which are operating at 50% capacity, the city launched its first social district last month. It permits customers to purchase open-container beer, wine or liquor from a participating business and consume it on foot within the social district.
