PANDUR 6x6 Evolution vehicle.
The Austrian Ministry of Defense has placed an order for 30 PANDUR 6x6 Evolution (Evo) wheeled armored vehicles.
Built by General Dynamics European Land Systems, the vehicles are designed as armored personnel carriers (APCs) and can be quickly converted into other roles such as CASEVAC (casualty evacuation) due to their modular design.
The contract was signed in October last year, GDELS said in a release Tuesday.
In addition to the 34 vehicles purchased in 2016 and based in the center of excellence at the Jägerbataillon 17 in Straß / Styria, the Austrian Armed Forces will operate a fleet of 64 new PANDUR 6x6 Evo.
Army in Asia Pacific Signs US$172 Million Contract for Light Tanks
(28 Jan 2021) Elbit Systems has been awarded a contract valued at approximately $172 million to supply light tanks to an undisclosed army in Asia Pacific. The contract will be performed over a three-year period.
As the prime contractor, Elbit Systems will supply the Sabrah light-tank solution based on the tracked ASCOD platform that is manufactured by General Dynamics European Land Systems Santa Bárbara from Spain (GDELS), and on the wheeled Pandur II 8X8 platform manufactured by Excalibur Army from the Czech Republic.
The 30-ton Sabrah light-tank solution provides a combination of powerful fire capacity and high maneuverability.

During NATO’s Anakonda 2016 exercise in Poland, German and British Army engineer units teamed up to assemble the longest 350-meter floating bridge using 30 M3 amphibious vehicles in less than 35 minutes. SEOUL The South Korean Army is set to deploy European amphibious bridging vehicles under licensed production to boost its operational capability across water obstacles. The M3 Amphibious Rig, developed by General Dynamics European Land Systems, is to be locally produced by prime contractor Hanwha Defense, according to sources at the Defense Acquisition Program Administration. The contract is worth about $460 million and will see the production of about 100 M3 vehicles for deployment starting in 2023.
Denmark places follow-on order for Eagle 5s

Denmark has placed a follow-on order for 56 Eagle 5 protected patrol vehicles in the 4×4 configuration as well as a prototype of an open reconnaissance variant with General Dynamics European Land Systems – Mowag (GDELS-Mowag), according to a 17 December GDELS-Mowag press release.
The order, which is valued at CHF46 million (USD51.9 million), is the second part of the framework agreement signed between the Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation and GDELS-Mowag in June 2017. All 57 vehicles procured under the second order will be delivered from the end of 2021 and throughout 2022, the press release states.
