Dubai low-cost carrier flydubai will operate a daily service to Istanbul, beginning December 17.
“Flydubai flights from Dubai International (DXB) to Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen International Airport (SAW) are available to book on flydubai.com and a daily service will operate from December 17,” a spokesperson for the carrier told
Gulf Business.
In a similar move, Dubai’s Emirates also announced the resumption of daily flights to Istanbul from December 21, subject to government approvals.
Emirates flight EK 121 will depart Dubai at 2.20pm, arriving in Istanbul at 4.20pm. The return flight, EK 122, will depart Istanbul at 8.05pm, arriving in Dubai at 1.20am.

Major General Doctor Ahmed Al Raisi General Inspector of the Ministry of Interior and Director of the committee in charge of following up the implementation of light air sports system launched the two-week campaign titled ‘The Responsibility is Yours’ across the country to raise awareness about the sport and hobby of flying glider planes.
“This campaign aims to explain laws and regulations for fans of light air sports in the country to avoid illegal usage and wrong practices associated with practicing the sport. It comes also to guarantee the safety of life and property,” Maj Gen Al Raisi said in a virtual press conference held on Monday.

Dubai-based airlines flydubai and Emirates will launch daily services between Dubai and Istanbul from December 17 and December 21 respectively.

The addition of Istanbul expands Emirates’ European network to 31 destinations, enabling customers to safely and easily connect to destinations across its wide global network with one convenient stop in Dubai. Emirates flight EK 121 will depart Dubai at 14:20 hrs, arriving in Istanbul at 18:20 hrs. The return flight, EK 122, will depart Istanbul at 20:05hrs, arriving in Dubai at 01:20 hrs the following day.
