Ann Korologos Gallery presents
Observations in the Clearing, a group exhibition exploring the character and connection of mankind with wild animals through the paintings, mixed-media works, monoprints, monotypes, and linocuts of Ewoud de Groot, Mike Weber, Paula Schuette Kraemer, and Sherrie York. The exhibition is on view March 11 through May 15, 2021 at Ann Korologos Gallery in historic downtown Basalt, Colorado and virtually at korologosgallery.com.

NEW ORLEANS, La. â Crescent City Auction Galleryâs three-day, three-session Important Spring Estates Auction will kick off Friday, March 12th, at 1 pm Central time, with a collection of couture purses from names like Prada, Gucci, Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Celine, Judith Lieber and Chanel, plus fine jewelry items that include emeralds, rubies, diamonds, tanzanite and sapphires.
The February 18th African Americana auction at Cowanâs, a Hindman company, realized over $250,000 with institutional and international bidders showing strong interest in a range of historically significant lots. A number of influential figures including Frederick Douglass, Booker T. Washington, Martin Luther King, Jr., Marcus Garvey, Madam C.J. Walker, Huey Newton, Eldridge Cleaver and Angela Davis were represented in the first dedicated various owner auction for the category. The sale included books, manuscript archives, early photography, posters, and more.
Leading the auction and receiving outstanding interest was the archive of Lieutenant Colonel George Henry Hoyt (lot 46) which ultimately realized $43,750, more than ten times its presale estimate. Hoyt is known for serving as one of John Brown s attorneys when the martyred abolitionist stood trial for the raid at Harper s Ferry, Va. The archive features a journal with Hoyt s hand-recorded testimonies from Brown s relatives
DALLAS, Tex. â Items from the collection of the internationally recognized interior design firm Loyd-Paxton, plus consignments from other estates including an incomparable collection of rare David Webb jewelry with other fine makers, will be sold the weekend of March 20th and 21st by J.
